Privacy and safety on C Pay

This article explains everyday safety for C Pay users. It is not a replacement for the legal Privacy Policy or Terms of Usage. If those documents and this page ever seem to disagree, the legal pages win.

Why we ask for a screenshot

UPI success screens are how merchants confirm the transfer without sitting next to you. The image should show amount, success state, and reference number. Crop out your UPI PIN, OTP SMS, and unrelated chats. Do not send the screenshot to random Telegram groups. Upload it only in C Pay or to the merchant you actually pay.

Why we ask for UTR

UTR is the bank’s handle for that one payment. It stops two customers from claiming the same transfer. C Pay blocks reuse of an active UTR. Treat the number like a receipt serial, not like a password — but do not post it publicly with your full bank statement.

Merchant isolation

A merchant sees customers assigned to their shop. They should not see another merchant’s queue. If you used merchant A’s link last, A owns the current assignment. Switching shops via a new referral link updates assignment. Your payment history on the previous shop stays with that shop for the period you were there.

What staff should never ask

Nobody from Conserworks or a merchant should ask for your UPI PIN, SMS OTP for the UPI app, or internet banking password. C Pay OTP is only to sign in to C Pay. If a message asks you to “share screen and enter PIN”, stop. Email info@conserworks.in.

Advertising and this Hub

These guide pages exist so humans and reviewers can read how the product works. They do not require a C Pay login. We do not put ad units on empty shells. If ads appear on Conserworks properties in the future, they will follow the live site and Google’s publisher rules. Product login pages stay for customers and merchants doing real work.

What stays on which domain

Hub pages on conserworks.in describe the company and C Pay in public. Payment screenshots and UTRs belong in C Pay, not in a public Hub comment box. Do not paste full screenshots into email threads that include people who are not your merchant. If you write to info@, describe the problem and attach only what support asked for.

OTP confusion

C Pay login OTP is for signing into C Pay. UPI PIN and UPI-app OTP are for the payment app. A phishing page that looks like Paytm and asks you to “confirm C Pay” with your UPI PIN is not C Pay. Close it. Open pay.conserworks.in by typing it or using the merchant’s known link, not a shortened mystery URL from a stranger.

Inactive / restricted numbers

A merchant can restrict a mobile on their shop. That does not delete you from India, and it does not automatically block other merchants. If you see inactive for this merchant, you are on that shop’s policy. Using a friend’s number to dodge a restrict can get both of you blocked. Talk to the shop or use a number they accept.

Staff and devices

Merchant phones that receive C Us or Telegram payment alerts should not be left unlocked on a counter with Approve one tap away. Screenshot folders on a shared tablet are customer financial images — treat them like receipts in a drawer, not WhatsApp status material. When a staff member leaves, remove their portal login.
